UV isn't the only light that darkens skin. Visible light, from the sun and indoors, can deepen melasma and dark spots, and most sunscreens do nothing about it. This all-mineral SPF 50 does: finely milled zinc oxide covers UVA and UVB, while a sheer, universal tint of iron oxides reflects visible light and softly blurs imperfections. Ceramides help keep oil in balance, and eight antioxidants calm skin. It wears like a matte BB cream: velvety, primed for makeup, or polished enough to wear on its own.

For my clients with melasma or post-breakout marks, a tinted mineral sunscreen isn't optional, and this is the one I trust to wear well all day. It's also my go-to after treatments, when skin is at its most sensitive.

How to use

AM, last step: After moisturizer, apply liberally to face and neck 15 minutes before sun exposure. Wait 1 to 2 minutes before makeup, or wear it alone.
Reapply at least every 2 hours, and after swimming, sweating or towel drying.
